About Us

Hi I’m Tim. I’m passionate about creating, producing and recording music! I've always been around music and from a young age I was interested in creating my own music. To my parent's dismay, I was fixated on learning the drums and that has been my passion now for over 3 decades! I've picked up some guitar and piano too - so I consider myself to have a well-rounded musical skillset.

I've had the privilege of touring and recording internationally as a drummer and I've picked up a few tricks along the way about writing, producing, recording and mixing music.

I’ve started writing down a few of my thoughts about audio equipment and recording equipment, partly for my own enjoyment, but also in the hope that some of the things I’m learning will help other people too!

This website covers recording techniques, mixing and post-production tips, reviews of audio recording interfaces, microphones, headphones, monitor speakers, processing gear, DAW / recording software, plugins and more!

So, welcome to Audioproductionroom.com

Grab a comfortable chair and a coffee, take a look around and I hope you get as much enjoyment and value from these resources as I’ve have had creating them!
